…We could not be more excited!!!
So after a great run of gigs around Kent this week, and one coming up tonight in Hertfordshire, (28th Feb at The Green Rooms), we also have some very exciting news to share with you at the start of next week!!
With our debut full length album in the works as we speak (there are always riffs and ideas running wild in our heads!) – and this news – 2014 is going to see our profile raised a lot… We could not be more excited!
Can’t wait to bring you more genre-melding riffage and PARTY WITH YOU ALL!!!
See you all soon,
So we’ve a few gigs coming up running to the end of the year, and in the mean time are cracking on forward with writing for the album!
We’ve been working on some seriously funky, out there sounding stuff – but never too far away from a groove! We’ll be starting to video some of the writing/jamming sessions so that we can update you with progress as it comes. In the mean time, also look out for some instrumental music on the way from Tom and Mike!
Hope to see you at one of our next few gigs, in Gravesend, Gillingham, Essex and Croydon – check out the schedule on the right!
After an awesome break in Cornwall we are now back in London, and creation of the new material continues! A couple of rough recordings have been started, and things are sounding exciting!
Updates to follow soon…
Silas will be playing an exclusive acoustic set at House in the Basement in Sevenoaks, Kent, at an all day event hosted by BBC Introducing’s Abbie Mac! We are preparing stripped back, more earthy renditions of some of our songs, using some pretty special instruments – a 12 string acoustic guitar and an Udu (a unique, african, clay percussion instrument), plus bass and the usual 3 part vocal harmonies of course!
So far we have Cause and Effect, What We See, Negative One and Art of the Cure adapted and in the set; with a possible 5th to be added… Stay tuned for videos!!!
We have now begun writing for our debut album! Our third official release, but our first full length, this will be HEAVIER, FUNKIER, GROOVIER, AND MORE COLOURFUL AND DIVERSE THAN EVER!!! Keep your eyes and ears peeled folks!
Silas are delighted to announce that we will be getting into writing for our first FULL LENGTH ALBUM IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE! Keep an eye out for updates throughout 2013, they will be coming thick and fast as we make progress!
Welcome to the official SILAS website!
Our sound is a fusion of genres; you will hear infectious hard rock grooves and adrenaline fueled metal carnage suddenly explode into funk or flow into a jazz progression and an other-worldly guitar solo… We draw our influences from all the music we hear, from Reggae to Metal!
Click on the song player to the right, or the music tab, to hear our music.
Thanks guys… See you soon.
